Country is a 24-year old Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred cross gelding, 16.1 hands.
He has a very kind disposition and loves grooming and attention. He is very steady in the
arena, and is also sensitive to a rider's aids.
Due to his age, Country has a few special needs - hoof trimming at 4-5 week intervals, joint
supplement, a senior feed and bran mixture daily. To keep the circulation in his legs
healthy, he needs a large paddock (one acre minimum) with a gentle equine companion to
encourage consistent movement. He gets along well with other horses, but gets anxious
around aggressive horses. He has been thriving in our herd environment, and we'd love for
him to stay on as a boarder.
He is ideally suited for a rider with good basic riding skills who wants a steady horse for
light trail riding.

"Cody" is a 15 year-old thoroughbred mare. She is 15.3 hands, dark bay. Cody has never
been to the track and is completely sound. She has been trained and shown at First Level
Dressage, and has some 2nd Level training. She also competed lightly over fences in her
younger years and can still do some moderate jumping.
Cody is extremely affectionate and gentle to be around. She has very nice ground manners,
clips, ties, leads, hoof trims, trailers, etc. She also has excellent bloodlines - Bold Ruler,
Northern Dancer. Her sire was the Irish Thoroughbred, Starfields.
Cody is a very athletic, elastic mover, with lots of suspension in her trot, especially for a
thoroughbred. She is very well-mannered in the arena, but can be spooky when ridden out.
I am looking for a rider who has the experience, patience and confidence to ride this mare
successfully. Sale price would be very negotiable to the right person. If Cody is leased, she
will need to stay at my facility for at least one month, depending on the situation. The
lease fee is $200 per month. Lessons are available, $30/hr.
